According to Mary Parker Follett “Management is the art of getting things done through others”

According to Henry Fayol  “To Manage is to forecast and plan, to organise to command to co-ordinate and control

Nature of Management

Management is the art of getting things done through others. It is the process of planning, organizing controlling and coordinating human activities.
1. Management is a Group Activity:-Management is an essential part of group activity. Wherever there is a group of people working towards a comman goal, there is management. Management helps people realise the objectives and achieve them.
2. Management is a Social Process:-Management is practiced by the people, through the people, and for the people. It involves getting things done through others.This involves dealing with people hence it is trearted as a social process.
